About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling Culinary Carnivor

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Germany, I have lived in France, USA, Singapore and now in the Netherlands, contemplating where to move next :-)
Love travelling and meeting people, learning about different cultures, and eating my way across the globe.

PHILOSOPHY

I am what I am and what I am needs no excuses :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I couch surfed and met up with surfers - but due to living in small places have not yet been able to open my home to surfers, hopefully one day!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Incredibly enough, during my first couch surfing I stayed with someone who had actually played basketball in the same club at the same time as me - and we had never met! It is such a great way of meeting people that you might possibly not meet during travels.

Interests

TRAVELLING seeing places, meeting people, experiencing history.

FOOD :-) And through travelling I discovered how much there is out there that I had never heard about / tasted before.

PEOPLE love meeting from all over the world, it is always fascinating to learn from others and exchange ideas across borders.

MUSIC growing up playing an instrument, I am now playing Saxophone and love listing to music from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of movies and music, and unfortuantely do not get to read as much as I used to anymore. Read pretty much fiction only, amd just finishing 1Q84

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing are the people whom I have met, who have shared their lives/cultures with me and in doing so opened me up to a whole new world, helping me expand my horizons.

Amazing is the nature, from Bryce Canyon in Utah, to Munnar in Kerala, the beautiful Alps, Yangshuo and the wilderness of Yukon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Eager to learn and happy to teach/share the skills I have.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Netherlands, Singapore, United States
