ABOUT ME
I'm currently living with my girlfriend in Denton, TX, where I teach undergraduate philosophy courses and am a PhD student at the University of North Texas. I do a lot of work in animal and environmental ethics, as well as some Asian philosophy and aesthetics.
Besides philosophy, I love a variety of music, especially jazz, experimental, indie rock, and folk.
I also play guitar, bass, drums, and a bit of keys and have played in several bands while growing up in south Louisiana. I've recently taken up throat-singing and playing the Didgeridoo, which have kept me sane while in grad school.
I work for the non-profit organization Farm Forward as a research consultant promoting humane, sustainable agriculture, and want to continue being involved as much as possible with activism, music, and education.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I wasn't offered funding for a conference in Bloomington, Indiana, I decided to couchsurf with a housing co-op there, and ended up having one of the greatest experiences of my life!
I spent a lot of time hanging out with these awesome people and being immersed in their unique and beautiful way of life, which I would describe as a very active, socially integrated, communal living situation.
