I'm a social hub and I like bringing people together. I organize a wide range of events, including a festival on circling and authentic relating, discussion groups on effective altruism, a series of small parties and self-improvement workshops.

I like getting lost in foreign places and exploring nature.

I appreciate people who are humble and interested in respectful disagreement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my housemates in Graz would be happy to host people. We have a large house, so you would have your own room to sleep in. UPDATE October 2022: At the moment I don't have capacity to host you, happy to meet up though.

Interests

Authentic Relating and Circling are group meditation practices, they can be done with two or three people but are commonly practiced in larger groups. Together, you feel into your experience in the present moment and share it with the other people in the room. What I like about circling is that it's quite free of expectations, spontaneous and exciting, and lets you be yourself. I cofounded the German circling festival out of a desire to help more people experience the practice.

Effective Altruism is a philosophy and social movement trying to use science and reason to find the best ways to benefit others. I started the Effective Altruism group in Graz, which now has around 10 members and meets every two weeks.

I worked in the climate movement for several years, helping to organize the Vienna climate camp and a range of other events.
