About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The absolutely best way to travel is to travel by hat.
ABOUT ME
I'm just a (17+4)-year-old German globetrotter girl, trying to appreciate every single unique facet of life. Full-time dreamer and part-time student (German major, English minor).
PHILOSOPHY
"Happiness isn't happiness without a violin-playing goat." (Anna Scott, Notting Hill)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the wonderful Taste of Chaos Scandinavia Summer Tour 2010 (Interrail with my best friend), I got to meet heaps of amazing people that were so kind as to let us stay at their lovely places. Now I'm keen to return that favour to the travelling community, sharing my place with globetrotters from all around the planet.
Interests
music, books, movies, writing (letters, screenplays, nonsense), linguistics, arts, photography, globetrottery, sleeping, riding my bicycle, knitting, crocheting, making my own clothes, writing useless lists, designing bizarre hats and bags, being clumsy, playing the violin/viola/guitar, being happy about anything green, enjoying long walks in plain nature, talking to trees and birds -- oh, and baking!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies. Anything by Michel Gondry, Wes Anderson and Hayao Miyazaki. Some of my favourite movies: Erbsen auf halb 6, Once, Dead Poets Society, Away We Go, Juno, The Fall, Eagle vs Shark. I enjoy films with lovely characters, nice colours and witty dialogues.
Music. Anything colourful that sounds like starsparkle! Songs of the entire emotional spectrum. Happily chirping xylophones and twinkling guitars. Well, mainly indie, alternative and folk.
Books. Any story that covers me like a blanket humming words in my ears. I also have a thing for beautiful words, picture language, metaphors and adjectives, and a flowing style of writing. A decent amount of puns cannot be resisted, either.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some German, of course, and the pronunciation of "Streichholzschächtelchen" if you'd like to add this skill to the long list of "Useless things I can do - but hey, they rule!". Also, I can share my experiences with having a kind of international family. Besides, I can show you how to make a snail hat!
I'm excited to listen to any stories about never-heard-before-things! Teaching your language? I'm definitely in!
