About Me

Well,it took me some time to finally start filling out this "about me " paragraph. :) I would start with : I'm italian and I live in Düsseldorf,Germany. I study linguistics and translation and work as after school teacher, translator and assistant for the faculty of romanistics. I'm firmly committed to ecological/ environmental /animal -rights/human rights issues. Vegetarian (although when I eat eggs or milk products I choose the ethical ones) and pacifist. I love travelling and definitely need a second life (at least !) to visit all the places I'd like to visit and do all the experiences I'd like to do! So I try to take everything from life,I would say this is my philosophy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I think that visiting a city with the eyes of a local person is much more interesting and fun then having common touristic tours. Furthermore I really enjoy getting to know new people and listening to their stories. Therefore I believe Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity for us to get in touch with unexpected people, places and experiences! Every now and then I like to escape monotony and routine and have a get-away in a different place.
I think creating a wide network of friendships is the key to a better world, with no barriers and prejudices.

Interests

Since I grew up in southern Italy, where the sun shines even in winter, I really like outdoors activities...walking in the city centre, cycling in the countryside,playing volleyball in the yard or just chilling in the park are just few of my favorite activities.
I also really enjoy listening to live music, even better if accompanied with beer or red wine and obviously good company.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is partecipating in the Erasmus program :) It showed me the way I wanted my life to go :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, saying that I am able to teach something to somebody sounds kinda show-off to me, but I think I could say that I can teach my language (Italian) and German as well, if you don't need a technical jargon, like maths and stuff :)

I enjoy learning anything new actually! And I love sharing time with other people...although I have to admit it, I've always been kinda selective, so I usually prefer to spend my time in a qualitative way :) So if you like to talk about boots or gossip I might not be the right interlocutor.
