About Me

La Semilla is a community home in the eastern mountains of the San José valley. While our home faces Sabanilla, Guadalupe and San Pedro, our back lies right on the back side of the Irazú volcano in Cartago. It's mostly chilly here overnight; just the perfect end feel to what can sometimes be either a fully sunny or somehow showered day.

While we like going to the movies, the theater, out to eat and just about anything that might come up; we are not heavy drinkers nor party-goers. We have people over often, but we don't sleep late. We might have a beer or two for dinner over pasta, nachos or pizza; especially in order to get to know our Couchsurfers, but we don't stay up too late and we love to have a good night's sleep. Our cats are our pleasure and we actually like how mellow it is here very much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are all kinds of interesting and community-focused travellers out there. We're after you. While we know very well how Couchsurfing works, we would like to welcome you to leave something behind in exchange for your stay - NO MONEY at all - rather, some talent, art, drawing, painting, a seed planted, a note written, whatever you would like to leave in return for your time spent here. That way, other travellers should feel even warmer and more welcome seeing you have come and gone and nurtured this space. Just our suggestion. No need at all to bring anything in order to confirm your stay.
