About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Still have so many places to see with so little time!

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm really easy going and have always enjoy doing something little out of the box. I welcome new experiences, new knowledge. You could never learn too much that's for sure!

I am far from the postcard typical Aussie, I loathe the beach, so Sydney is really the wrong place for me to live in haha. Though I guess that's why I always have a bag packed and a foot out the door to travel any chance I get!

I decided to start travelling by myself for the first time when I turned 20. What better place to start backpacking in India ay? Since that first trip I've been back to India, did some volunteering in Nepal and then a tour of Southeast Asia. Europe, Thailand, Nepal and India a couple more times each, but have been planted in Sydney since covid, being home is haven't been easy.

PHILOSOPHY

"Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been surfing around Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Holland and London for 2 months, had some really great experiences from meeting you friendly locals!

I'm back at home now, so I'd love to show people around Sydney. I'm not really party party party type, so I could definitely show you the nooks and crannies of Sydney.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed for 2 months every night with a dozen different hosts in several countries in Europe, everything went so well, all the hosts I've met are quite amazing. I've signed up as a member a while back after meeting someone on the road about how great the CS adds to the whole backpacking experience. Thus far tis true!

Interests

I love film, also crazy about travelling (obviously), getting way too into analog photography, would cycle when I can, love electro swing, a bit too addicted to Formula One, not playing enough video games, and too poor to buy more Lego : (.

Music, Movies, and Books

Top 10* films in somewhat of an order:
In the Mood for Love
Late Spring
The Dark Knight
Before Sunset
Children of Men
Casablanca
The Fountain
Portrait of a Lady on Fire
City Lights
Your Name
Notting Hill

Film I would take with me if I'm stuck on an island: Cast Away. (WILSONNN!!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was teaching elementary math & science to student monks at a Buddhist monastery in Nepal, my fondest memory there was witnessing a student’s face lit up with excitement when he understood the concepts I was explaining. Who knew the water cycle was so amazing? I've never forgotten that, and I try to bring that same excitement with me whenever I'm learning, anything and everything!

Can I have a few more amazing things? Hitting a pig on my scooter in Laos was amazingly stupid! Being chased by a pack of dogs on Northern India was amazingly scary! Having a little girl at a orphanage laugh at the hole in my sock was amazingly sweet and embarrassing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel I'm still quite young to have anything valuable to teach. Oh! I think I'm pretty decent a recommending films to people after I know a couple of their favourite things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

This won't be a surprise, but I love talking about travelling and would love to share stories and advice from my trips so far!
