About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The salvation of man lies in love and will come through love. (Viktor Frankl)

ABOUT ME

Eh, I don't really like talking about myself... I think that my past experiences, my beliefs, my values, and my opinions can be shown by / through my actions. The past and the future are both intertwined in the present moment, in this single breath.

Ha ha, if you don't like that explanation and just want three words to sum me up: "you did WHAT?!" :-)

PHILOSOPHY

"man jita, jag jita"

It's a quote from Patanjali, the alledged author of the Yoga Sutras. The translation from Sanskrit means something like "if you conquer your mind, you can conquer the world."

my other philosophy: LOVE. always love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My last profile got deleted; I think the account was hacked. :-(

I've been a member since 2007 and have surfed more than I've hosted, but I'm hoping to even out the Karma later in life! I find it's a great way to meet other outgoing, open-minded people. I've made two life-long friends through CS already and think it's a BRILLIANT website and idea, even though some people may abuse it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I learned about CS in 2007 right before backpacking alone through Europe. It was great. I often can't travel with people because schedules are difficult to coordinate. So I use CS to meet people, share stories, and learn about cultures and cities in a better way than any guide book can offer.

I was actually "forced" to surf a lot because my purse was stolen in Spain. My sister (living there at the time) gave me some cash to use while traveling, but I had no access to my bank accounts otherwise. It turned out to be a blessing, as I not only saved money not paying for hostels, but I met the best people!!!

Interests

My interests are: yoga, meditation, alchemy, Qigong, cooking, baking, martial arts, swimming, running, writing music (jazz, classical, folk), listening to music, jamming with people, and of course traveling.

I also like quantum physics though my math skills are crappy. I love having adventures and playing with fire. I can talk for hours about religion, spirituality, the meaning of life, my plans for a new economy, the fallacies of our current economic and financial systems....
