About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel Grantee Seeking Nice Couch/Bed

ABOUT ME

Last year I traveled to the UK, Holland & Australia soon on a travel grant and couchsurfed while there. I met and stayed with some great people.

People always tell me that I'm really unique and different which I consider great compliments. They probably say that because I have diverse tastes. I've been fortunate to travel to the Caribbean, South America and Western Europe to visit family, friends, study as an exchange student and meet new people. I tend to adapt to the culture of where I am and that's one reason that cruise tourism has NO appeal to me. My talent of witty banter was honed in my native Manhattan lol.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm socio-politically aware, into conversations with depth, and people who can distinguish if they prefer living to work or working to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I'm in LA, I'd love to host other couchsurfers and pay it forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing practically my whole life. I've slept everywhere from the Caribbean, South America and Western Europe. I love spending time in other cultures with the native people and find it much more appealing than traditional tourism.

Interests

A recent funny thing about me is that I was featured on a home-makeover show and my apartment was redesigned!

Something I work on weekly is an events list that reaches 5000 people locally and features eclectic, cultural events for $10 or less. Check it out at www.LAaLALand.com

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is the "The Big Sea" by Langston Hughes because it's about his travels throughout Eastern Europe... I absolutely love UK Garage, Salsa, Favela Funk, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, etc. My favorite films are "Muriel's Wedding" and "Say Anything".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was relocated to LA to be a Writing Fellow at ABC/Disney after competing with 3700+ people for 10 spots.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a master researcher and am "quite resourceful" on a daily basis. I am happy to share my skillset in that area or my other specialties in these industries: entertainment, legal, sales, blogging, travel, etc.
