ABOUT ME

I have a deep reverence for mother Earth (Gaia) enjoying all she has to offer and caring for & protecting her. I am happiest when I am in connection with her, whether it be taking a walk, tending the garden, watching a sunset, cycling through the countryside, hiking through the forest, sleeping outdoors/camping, playing in the snow or being at the beach.Music fills me with joy. I particularly love latin, swing, classic rock, jazz, zydeco, and world music. And I love to dance swing and salsa, especially.
I love food: good quality, locally grown and/or organic food is what I strive for. I belong to a local CSA and the weekly pick-up is a highlight of my week.
I have two teenage sons and family & my friends are very important to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think CS is an amazing way to get to know the people of the world. It is through human interaction and understanding that we can cultivate peace throughout the world. So, I am looking forward to hosting and staying with people to build freindships.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member for a few years now and have surfed a few times in the US and have also met couchsurfers for coffee when traveling. I have also hosted several surfers from around the world. They have all been great experiences.

Interests

Traveling(of course) and meeting new people, camping,biking,dancing,gardening,food,creating with my hands, spending time with friends and my family. I am currently learning italian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I continually marvel at the beauty in nature-so many amazing things to see every day,if you take the time to look.
While in high school, I was an exchange student to Istanbul,Turkey.
