About Me

i like fermenting things, brewing things and cooking things.

** lgbtq friendly only!

I am currently seeking out education in the natural health field and permaculture and natural building. share all your knowledge with me!

i beleive this platform to be so important and wonderful in an age of disconnection and air bnb's - i find the concept so bizarre that there is close to no human contact with that platform - also, its so expensive! jeeze!
i am a certified reflexologist, auntie (doula) and currently work in a womens emergency shelter
i was part of a collective organizing body of a permaculture arts festival - The Praxis Project in New Brunswick and am on the constant journey of living with love every moment.

I love meeting and learning about people of all ages, walks of life, sharing stories, dreams, memories and laughs.

I worked for a food co-op in the Simcoe Muskoka area and had the ability to work with youth and elders alike on First Nations reserves, public schools, teaching folks how to garden, harvest, preserve and cook. Food sustainability, buying local, eating fresh and culturally diverse eats are within my large scope of passions.

From tree planting in the canadian north to volunteering in costa rica at a festival i have met people from all over and 1 thing is always common ground : the love for the world and the people whom cross your paths. I look forward to every connection made through CS. It is raw and real and an amazing use of internet.

Bear is an amazing musical enthusiast with a huge talent for playing stringed instruments. Him and a campfire are a magical thing. Also lover of the harmonica, hand drum and on special occasional ( after a few too many ) signing. ( but really rather yelling ). He designs and installs septic tanks and is a master of water protection. Basically Barrett is a wizard of fun and an incredibly fun human to be around. (he has a profile on CS too, do not copy and paste us requests)

I hope to see a glimpse of everyone's life, with everyone I meet, because life is a ever moving cycle and everyone can teach you something about yourself if you just open your ears to their sounds. Listen Actively, as it is much more than hearing.

We DO most definitely enjoy a good bottle of red or brew.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a wild trip that I try to enjoi 1 day at a time. I find computers and televisions to be a total buzzkill when it comes to real connections and entertainment, but hey, if you utilize your time and tools these weapons of massbrainwashing can be a good thing.
I love to love and be loved, for love is the one true, big, real and most important emotion, feeling, and lifestyle. Without love this world will crumble.

Kissing is the supreme achievement of the Western world. TR

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet like minded folks with the interest of getting the "local experience" of staying in a new place. To meet people who are welcoming and accommodating, to meet fellow earthlings who are willing to open their home to new friends and share with.
We have hosted a colorful handful of new friends, which we strive to stay in touch with on a regular basis.
Also, we have surfed with plenty of folks on our travels across the country. So many beautiful people participate with this site its amazing.
