ABOUT ME

Considered to join couchsurfing for a while, the concert pushed me over the edge to sign up. I live in a beautiful apartment, 20 min walk from the beach. Plus it has the best > 50m2 sundeck ('dakterras').
The apartment has lots of space and I've always felt it would be fun to share.

Work: don't get scared :), I'm a lawyer (attorney) and a Bsc in animal science. Hence I have a legal practice specialized in animal law (no, not animal rights, that is a different business) in a law firm (bvdv.nl) and also work as a university teacher in this field.

I'm totally game for good food, wine, inspiring conversations, movies, books and much more, but my two overwhelming passions are dogs and music. Happy to tell more about it when/if I meet you.

Hosting if I can, surfing if possible, joining activities sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A couple of surfers so far, it has been fun. Surfed some myself, great way to travel.

Movies: lots, although violence not favorite. More up for a good story anytime. 'A few good men' and '12 angry men' for legal stories. More recent f.e. Das Leben der Anderen, Carnage, Water for elephants, but also plain brain candy for fun, yay.

Books: again, any good story. Also books about how life works: brain, biology etc.

Music: classical, vocal, opera, song and a little oratorium. Can't get enough of opera and Romantic song: Schubert, Brahms, Vaughan Williams and more. Now exploring more jazz, pop and musical and enjoying it.

Hear Ian Bostridge sing Schubert in The Hague . Wow. His singing makes my head spin, still a bit dizzy from it.

Watching Dolphins (Florida), studying JackDaw behavior (Austria). Animals are just spectacular to watch anytime; fascinating.

Really, I'm open to any teaching and learning available. If someone is passionate about something, that is almost always interesting.

I love learning any language, music or cook a great dish, plus whatever else is worth learning.

Share: inspiration, lots of energy, new ideas, experiences, languages.

I've helped a lot of people who are scared of dogs to feel less fearful and more in control. Yes, that is possible! Even if you are not a doglover.
