ABOUT ME

I'm a young woman trying to find my place in this world. I'm a serious, introverted person on the surface, but I love getting to know people and connecting with them. My father is an airline pilot and so I have been able to travel to a great many places, which I feel has given me a broader perspective on our world. I love trying new foods, seeing historical and modern sites, and exploring the vibe of a new place. I have an older brother and sister who both live in Maryland and a younger brother who is in high school. My mother has had many jobs throughout her lifetime and my father is a pilot for United.

I'm engaged to a wonderful woman who is my best friend first and foremost, who makes me laugh and feel happy.*

*We're a GAY female couple. I've had problems with some people not realizing this. We are two women in a romantic relationship

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed in several different locations: Northern Ireland, London, Tokyo, and Switzerland. My family has also hosted people.

I love/ enjoy: reading, writing, singing, bike riding, rollerblading, traveling, dancing, listening to music, watching movies, Japanese culture, the rain, Wicca religion and UU philosophy, languages, and food.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite movies are Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Scarlett, Black Book, Schindler's List, Pan's Labyrinth, any Pixar film and Sense and Sensibility. Some of my favorite singers are Regina Spektor, Mary Lambert, and Florence and the Machine. I am also a huge listener/singer of Broadway. Some of my favorite books are Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter, Stieg Larson's trilogy, Bartimeaus Series, Strangers in Paradise, The Memoirs of Lady Trent, and Mitch Album's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have probably done is travel to India for ten weeks with 10 students around my age and two leaders.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak a little bit of Spanish and German I taught myself how to play the piano. I've traveled around the world. I love to cook and bake. I dabble in drawing and painting. I sing, and compose original songs.
