I've been everywhere man, I've been everywhere!

Well, maybe not everywhere. But I have lived in Australia, the UK and the USA and done plenty of traveling all over Europe! Venice is probably my favourite place that I've been so far, but Iceland and Japan are at the top of my places still to visit.

I love to play – whether it's playing on words, my drums, CDs, vidya games or board games, I love them all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm the cajonist and drummer of the Sydney-based band Grand Gesture, and we're in the midst of a 3 month tour around the USA and Canada! We've been hitting up Airbnb a lot but we'd love to do the couchsurfing thing on our way around too.

My jam? Coldplay, Muse, Gorillaz, Nirvana, Toto, Liquid Tension Experiment, The Oh Hellos, Sonata Arctica, Tenacious D, Angra... that's kind of a big question!

My favie movies include Snatch, The Princess Bride, Inception, Chappie, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and lnterstellar. Also, anything with a soundtrack by Hans Zimmer.

I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi and Fantasy books - my favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Peter F Hamilton and Sara Douglass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides the incredible experiences that I've already had so far on the Grand Gesture road trip, I've done a couple of motorbike trips including a 7 day round trip of every UK national park and a 2 week trip of most of central Europe (going as far east as Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a drummer and percussionist first and foremost, so I'm more than happy to teach you how to lay down a sick beat on the cajon if you're interested!

I'm also a bit of a computer and electronics whisperer, so if you need any tech support I can help you out, whether it's sorting out backups or getting rid of viruses or fixing weird settings on your phone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will happily (and often involuntarily) share my somewhat ridiculous and ludicrous library of TV and movie quotes at opportune moments to spice up the conversation.

We (Grand Gesture) are also always happy to share our music with you, so if you're interested we can play you a song (or you can jam along with us!)

Besides that I can share with you my hands (to help where I can), my ears (for just about any conversation), my technical knowledge and my terrible jokes. Just let me know how I can help!
