Hello!
My name's Lachlan (Locky) and I'm a 26y.o ambulance attendant from Melbourne, Australia. I will be backpacking through Europe for a year beginning in June 2018.

I will be backpacking with my sister initially for my first couple of months - staying in hostels mostly. However, my sister and I will be parting ways in August and I will then be travelling solo for the rest of the year.

I am very sociable, friendly and easy going. I have a rather relaxed attitude and I'm very easy to get along with. I am very passionate about music and I listen to all genres! From electronic and rock to old school blues and hip hop, and everything in between!
I enjoy going out to see live bands, having some drinks but I'm just as content spending the night in with some good food and a good book.

I'm an overall positive individual, I strongly believe that in life it isn't what happens to you that defines you, it is your reactions to what happens that does. I live my life by this, by trying not to let anything get to me and not getting upset over small things. I don't even remember the last time I was angry as I am always upbeat, positive and happy. Smiling at a person can make their day as you never know what people are going through so I always have a smile on my face and I'm always up for a chat.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing in the hopes of meeting some really cool people and creating some truly unique experiences. A friend of mine recommended it to me after he used it to travel America and it sounded like something perfect for me as I love meeting people and trading stories. I also want to see the culture of the cities I am visiting from the perspective of the locals, so please, accept me and show me your town and I guarantee I can provide many laughs and good times :)

I also hope to become a host myself once I am back in Australia for anyone planning to travel down-under.

Music: I love a wide range of music. Some of my favourite artists are: Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Rodriguez, Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Metallica, A Tribe Called Quest, Immortal Technique. I also love Trance and various styles of EDM, Tiesto, Cosmic Gate, Dash Berlin, Chicane, Aly &Fila, Armin Van Buuren.

Books: I love classic literature and I also read a lot of biographies, history and crime fiction.

Movies: Lord of the Rings is my all time favourite trilogy. I have seen many films and I am a huge fan of all movies.

I spent 12 straight days hiking, abseiling, river rafting and camping in the Snowy Mountains of Australia.

Teach: I'd love to teach people how to spin fire staff and buugeng.
Learn: I am a beginner guitar player but I need to learn much more. Also learn some languages.
