ABOUT ME

We met through Lacie's sister just over three years ago and have been adventuring ever since. Our travels have brought valuable lessons and experiences, each one reenforcing the idea that learning and growing are more of a process and a journey, rather than a goal and a destination. We love to see the sights and beauty of places in our travels, but it is the people we have met along the way that have touched our hearts, broadened our minds, and changed our lives for the better. We can't wait to add you to that list!
In reading this it sounds so philosophical...in truth we spend more time laughing and having a good time then we do in the realm of metaphysics ;).

PHILOSOPHY

Be tolerant, positive, and open-minded enough to change your personal philosophy whenever you want! For us it is written in pencil, but as a general rule, have a positive affect on the people and places we encounter and allow them to do the same to us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As our friends and family like to point out,(some with an approving thumbs up, some with note of concern), we have not had a "permanent" house since shortly after we met. The closest thing would be our six months in Costa Rica, where we would like to base ourselves out of in the near future. Because of this we haven't done any hosting. We are currently living in Amsterdam for two months, and CS is an excellent way for us to meet people both here and in the surrounding countries/cities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our only guest/host experience so far was when we first moved to Costa Rica. It was a such a great way to acclimate ourselves, we made a true friend that we treasure and hope to return to see soon! Hi Linda, if you are reading this! We think and speak of you often :).

Interests

My real passion is surfing, and I got Lacie hooked as well :)! When there are no waves we play games, exercise, and are generally up for anything(especially if it is outdoors!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a few missions in Central America (mostly helping out at orphanages and bringing supplies to those who are in need). I definitely want to do more volunteer work in the near future!
