About Me
Salut! I'm a French Canadian international school teacher who took a year off to explore a new part of the world: Latin America. After traveling a year in Africa and teaching two years in China, I am ready for a new adventure. Thus, I just spent 6 weeks learning Spanish in Quetzaltenango (Guatemala) and now I am off to travel for a few months! I am excited to see new places, meet new faces and practicar mi español contigo! :)
"Travel as much as you can, as far as you can, as long as you can. Life is not meant to be lived in one place." You can follow my adventures on my blog: www.jujuenroute.com 🏻️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's a great way of traveling on a budget but also its the perfect way of meeting local people and discovering new cultures. I've started surfing two years ago in Africa. So far, it's been such an amazing experience. I've met incredible people, stayed in unique places, but I also made friends for life. I can't wait to be a host myself and finally give back to the Couchsurfing community! :)
Interests
-I'm a very active person. I love running, hiking, swimming, cycling, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, yoga. I completed a lot of triathlons and running races in the past, but now, with all the traveling, I just try to stay as fit as i can! :)
-I love electronic music! Trance is my favorite genre. I'm a huge fan of Above&Beyond and Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep!
-I really enjoy the outdoors: hiking, camping, bonfires, mountains, beaches... Bring it on! 🏕🏔
-I love eating out, dancing, drinking, socializing and have a good time with friends. 🏼
-Most of all, i love traveling! I love meeting new people, learning about new culture, discovering new places. ️

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran 424km (in 17 days) across The Gambia (smallest African country) to raise funds for the development of health education programs in the schools of the country. 🇬🇲
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a little bit of French while making you French Canadian crêpes for breakfast! (With real maple syrup it's the best!) 🇨🇦 For all the active couch surfer, I will always be down to go for a run (it's my favorite way of discovering a new place)! And I'm always happy to learn about new cultures, eating new dishes, trying new sports! I'm always up for the challenge. 'I will try anything once' and 'Do one thing everyday that scares you' are my life mottos! 🏼
