About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm a traveler, not a tourist
ABOUT ME
I was educated in computer science and corporate finance, but now work in advertising. I enjoy playing lacrosse, basketball, and football. I also play guitar, sing, and speak fluent Spanish, decent German, and terrible Chinese. I really enjoy traveling, and have been to countless countries.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is so much better for everyone when people are good to each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I plan to both host and surf.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hung out with some CS folks a few years back while traveling in Spain.
Interests
Travel, music, lacrosse, partying, and living the good life. I play a little poker with friends, blackjack with casinos, and fetch with my golden retriever. I love beach volleyball, surfing, and living an active lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Rock, Rap, 80s, whatever. Not a big fan of country. Old stuff: Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Weezer, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Depeche Mode, Motley Crue, Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd. New Stuff: Yeasayer, Mumford & Son, Imagine Dragons, Alt-J, Band of Horses, Grouplove, Passion Pit, Capital Cities, Two Door Cinema Club.
Movies: I'm a bit more particular about movies than I am about music... but in general my movie taste is about as eclectic. Some favorites include Wall Street, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Reservoir Dogs, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Anchor Man, A Clockwork Orange, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, and Boiler Room.
Television: Favorites include Law & Order, Law & Order Criminal Intent, The Simpsons (although it seems to be getting worse of late), Family Guy, Scrubs, The Office, Arrested Development (I can't believe they took it off the air!), Squawk Box, and the Daily Show.
Books: I just finished a couple of exciting, non-fiction books by Ben Mezrich called Bringing Down the House and Ugly Americans... both fantastic reads. Before that I tried catching up on some classics that I'd missed, like Kafka's The Metamorpohosis (and other stories) and John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men. Before that, I read The Warren Buffett Way in an attempt to prepare myself for my internship on Wall Street. Other such "prepratory" books included Monkey Business, Liar's Poker, and When Genius Failed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited the giant seated Buddha at the top of a mountain near Hong Kong... that was pretty impressive.
