ABOUT ME
What can I say? I can be the quiet one but once you ask enough questions you get to know the depth and quirkiness of the personality that calls herself Leslie. Or you can just smile at me and I will give you a big smile and hearty laugh back and you will get the gist of what I am about. I am a traveler just like you. Seeing the world brings me such joy. I'm a native Southern Californian who's hometown is San Diego, who has lived in Tucson, Chicago, London, and now calls San Francisco my home. I have to admit the past few years I have been heavily into all things metaphysical and spiritual so I guess that would make me a New Ager (don't hold it against me. I am good natured after all). If you have this philosophical/lifestyle bent then we have lots to talk about. If you would like to find out more about me you can check out my blog at www.thoughts.com/317537
PHILOSOPHY
After taking two courses last semester heavily steeped in Buddhism I can't help but contemplate Karma. It's seems like it is all about karma in this life and the next, in ones actions, thoughts and intentions. Because of this and because its simply my nature, my intenion is to always act in love towards others and myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As far as the website goes I have only attended CS events/get-togethers, but couch surfing in general I did for three months straight a few years back in Chicago with friends and friends of friends. And come to think of it I've been crashing on a lot of people coaches through the years. I hope in the future I have a living situation where I can give back and host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting my cousins who I never met before in Cuba. They threw me a birthday party a couple weeks before my actual brithday! Goodness, Cuba, the country and its people are so beautiful.
Also worth mentioning, a few years back I did a year of volunteer service for Americorps, which is the domestic Peace Corps. I served in a state run program in Chicago. The program Integrated Arts, Integrating education, where we put together lesson plans and taught in pairs in order to facilitate learning through the arts in the classroom from pre-school to high school. We also contributed to the after school program and volunteer events out of a community center in the west end of the city. It was a great year and one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have done.
