ABOUT ME

Boy mentality but definitely girl! I get on with pretty much anyone and have made so many friends during my worldly travels :)
I'm a friendly and easygoing person, I love to meet people and when I travel I enjoy absorbing the culture...meeting locals...learning and experimenting with new things...
I have a pretty wicked sense of humour, I love jokes and pranks, having fun with friends and yes I'm immature but I don't care, i just love a good laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent 6 weeks in India caring for young children which was great because I'm not normally around any children and it really taught me some new things. It was a wonderful experience!
Following a 6 month stint in Vietnam I am happy to say I made some extraordnary local friends who taught me some of the Vietnamese language and in return I helped them with their English!
I have been well taught in the English language and enjoy informally teaching to foreigners.

I recently drove from the Isle of Man to Mongolia in my little car over 6 weeks, camping, sleeping rough, b&bs and generally relied a lot on help from strangers.

I also hitchhiked from krakow Poland to Constanta in Romania 2 years ago. Crazy advebture!

I want to give the experience to others travelling to my home on the Isle Of Man.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times and made potentially life long friends, and a couple of years ago hosted someone for 9 days which was ace!

Interests

I like watching motorsport, riding motorbikes, photography and boxing.
I'm very sociable and enjoy going for beers, live music etc..I love cooking especially Indian or Asian food...a night in with homecooked food and a bottle of wine is a must every now and then :)
I love to meet new people and learn about their lives as well as trying new things and being spontaneous

I read pretty much anything...Graham Green,Paul Theroux,Philip K Dick,JK Rowling (HP of course!), Tolkien, travel writing

Music, I love a bit of punk rock type stuff such as Greenday, Rancid, Offspring, Sex Pistols but also love Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, I've even been known to enjoy Lady Gaga thanks to one of my friend's ever growing obsessions! :P

I really like watching movies at home or at the cinema. Usually I go for a good comedy, anything with Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey - really quite silly stuff but I will pretty much watch anything :). My favourite film is The Big Lebowski -I idolise it! Also big LOTR geek!

Teach, Learn, Share

I share a nice large town house with my boyfriend and beat friend in the centre of Douglas, our capital. I can help improve people's English, give them a bed for the night, cook delicious food together, and of course show them all around our beautiful island with the best local knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can turn my hand to most things so if I am staying with you, I expect to help you in some way - can I mow the lawn, help you fix something, run an errand for you, cook you something interesting, pass on travel advice about countries I have been to. And of couse return the favour if you ever visit me! :)
