ABOUT ME

I'm always looking for the next big adventure. I recently got back from climbing Kilimanjaro in Africa. My fiance recently got a job in CA, so I'll be biking out to meet him. I've driven the country before, and I love being able to really see what the people in each state are like, it sure beats flying!

PHILOSOPHY

In college, I had everything planned out, my engineering career, my military service, etc. But I hated the thought of it. I was so miserable and depresed, I just wanted to give up. But then I figured, if I'm just going to throw everything away, why not try something outrageous just for the hell of it? So I quit school and took up cosemtology, of all things. I started cycling and hiking, and went to Africa by myself, something I've always wanted to do. I haven't looked back since.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm totally new to couch surfing, but for my cross country trip, I thought it would be great to meet new people and maybe share this experience with other cyclists.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. Hopefully this trip changes that.

Música, películas y libros

I never met a book I didn't like. But some favorites are Hitchiker's Guide and Harry Potter. I listen to any pop/rock, but I have a soft spot for the Backstreet Boys. It's sad, I know. My favorites movies are Big Fish and 300.

I went to Kenya by myself and spent 2 weeks climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and going on safari.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach you to fix a bicycle and make a gourmet meal over a campfire. I could also tell you what hair cut and color will make your eyes stand out. =) But I'm young, I need to learn a lot more before I can start passing on knowledge.
