ABOUT ME
My name is Amanda. I just graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Social Work and Spanish. I'm really interested in anything that helps others. I´m pretty outgoing and independent. I like to believe I'm easy going...but organized at times :D I really have enjoyed all of my times traveling and look forward to any future adventures I might have.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to survive haha (joke). I totally understand that everyone is in different places in their beliefs in life. I think mutual respect is important. I love joy. But I understand that the world is full of pain. I like adventure and one thing that i live by is that "You only live once". Super cliche, but true, life is short, so make the best of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to participate more. I am hoping to meet new people in Guatemalan/Honduran/Nicaragua/Costa Rican Travels. I like cooking, so if you are where I am, I will be happy to cook for you. I'm def. willing to show someone some cool spots in Ventura after I move there in (Oct 2012).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had one "unofficial" couch surfing experience with some random fellows who lived in girona, spain. met with them through another website and had an amazing experience meeting all of their friends and learning more about girona and catalunya. I've hosted a couch surfer for dinner a few times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I visited Madrid, we saw the Valley of the Fallen. It was the most spiritual and amazing experience. Over 20,000 dead lie there next to the former dictator of Spain, Franco. It's a beautiful monument. Updated: it is now actually closed because its considered a monument or symbol of Franco. I´m glad I saw it before it closed.
