Born in South Africa, growing up as an expat mostly in the Middle East, I consider myself a child of the world.

I'm currently studying Communications and Development part-time through an online university while I work full-time in a book store. I spend all my free time and money on travel and food.

I'm on Couchsurfing because:

- I love meeting new people from different cultures and learning about their experiences,
- it's also nice to be a tourist in your own city sometimes and
- when I travel, it's nice to have locals share their experiences (& so why not do the same for other people?)

Intereses

My main interest is food. I love cooking and baking and I spend a lot of my free time watching documentaries about food. I'm especially interested in how our changing eating habits affect the way our society relates to each other.

I love art of all kinds. Going to the movies, plays, music shows, art galleries. I draw/paint and read/write. I very rarely ever do any performance art because even though I'm a social/extroverted person, the idea of standing on a stage scares me. Hoping to overcome that fear soon!
