Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To discover what sustains us as humans
ABOUT ME
Blonde hair, blue eyes, but far from stereotypical. Love working outdoors with people of all ages, can start a fire using a bow-drill, lived in a tent for 5 months, have travelled to SE Asia (no, didn't get to Thailand, but Laos is beautiful), love meeting new people and making new friends, have a weird liking for washing dishes and cleaning, drive a subaru outback, hike whenever I can, love to knit(thanks a lot mom), listen to just about every genre of music out there and play folk, and I believe in the power of intention.
PHILOSOPHY
free thought, being happy in whatever situations may arise, giving, as well as receiving, treat everyone you meet as a family member

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have heard great things about surfing from friends and when I have a couch again, I will most definitely have anyone crash at my pad.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Oklahoma City- Amanda was a great host. Took me in as a late night drop in. Sadly I was so exhausted, I didn't get much time to hang out, but she was very accommodating.
Memphis- Wonderful stay with Jen. I love being able to meet new people and have in depth conversations about our past, our political views, religious views, etc and feel completely comfortable. Thanks for that:)
Albany, NH- Thanks Deanna! I stayed on the couch with a few other surfers while attending a conference downtown. I wasn't able to explore at all, but the offer was there and my host was generous.

Musica, film e libri
Barbera Kingsolver, just about anything, Michael Pollan, Michael Crighton is fun, like fantastical books like 'His Dark Materials' and 'Lord of the Rings' but have also really gotten into reading informational books- specifically about wars- sad, but eye opening.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia...and there are so many more things to be thankful for! Visited family in Italy and saw Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, Rome, Siena, Florence and the Amalfi Coast. I've been to Saltzburg Austria where the Sound of Music was filmed, I've followed the path of Brahm Stoker's Dracula story in Romania, I've stayed at Hotel Castle Dracula, and I've found a solid community in Southern NH!

I would love to teach others:
how to ID VA birds
how to read the forested landscape of NH
how to start a bowdrill fire
how to knit/crochet
how to meditate
how to plant a garden anywhere
great places to be outdoors in VA or NH
the benefits of living out of a tent
the joys of working with kids
etc.. it sounds a little funny listing things i would teach as if in a true classroom setting. anything i possess that you may like to learn from/benefit from, sweet.
