About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm only interested in everything

ABOUT ME

I'm rediscovering my ambition to travel and explore the world - I'd kind of let myself forget it, after years of living in London left me penniless!

PHILOSOPHY

Have you ever looked at two peas in a pod? I mean, really looked at them? There's not a chance you'd mistake one for another, after a minute's close inspection.
--Neil Gaiman

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the stories behind each place and I enjoy sharing them with others - listening, telling, or actively finding out.
I'm also pretty handy with good local beer recommendations and music nights as well :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No "official" CouchSurfing experiences as of yet, but I'm a great believer in the kindness of strangers and in serendipitous encounters.

Interests

blacksmithing, making herbal lotions and potions, growing things, speaking other languages, playing ukulele (I had to sell my beloved guitar; this is her miniature replacement), music, poetry, walking...

Music, Movies, and Books

Book-wise, anything and everything - "there is no book so bad that it does not have something good in it," as Cervantes said :) I am an especially voracious reader of anything to do with myths, legends, fairytales and folktales.

Music-wise, my little brother's currently taking the Welsh music scene by storm: http://trwbador.co.uk/ - and my recent ukulele-playing was inspired by an underground gig in Camden by Amanda Palmer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right now, I'm watching sunset turn to dusk as a sea-mist envelopes the shoreline. Everything is an otherworldly, glowing pink.
Every day there's something.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning languages and I sometimes teach them, too - for money or for love.

I love sharing knowledge about plants - a rich heritage we all share + can all teach each other more about.

I am saving my pennies for a decent camera - I like taking pictures of the landscape - and I'd love to learn how to use one properly.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United Kingdom
