Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been traveling around the world for the last 2.5 years and I have been predominantly staying in hostels, which has been amazing for meeting new people, however, it hasn't left me with much opportunity to meet locals and people who have settled into the area and know all the hidden gems.

Having never couch surfed before, it is both exciting and a great opportunity to meet new people, get a feel for the area and try something new. I am a friendly, empathetic and clean person. If you would like to talk to me before agreeing to accept me into your home, I would be more than willing to have a chat.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy most genres of music but I am big hip hop fan! Really, I enjoy any genre that makes me feel something; whether it be intelligent lyrics, a beautiful melody or a killer guitar solo with some gut retching chords , I'm all over it!

Books: I am a big fantasy geek, my favourite books must be 'The Kingkiller Chronicles' and I cannot wait for the last one to come out, its only 10 years in the making!

Movies: 'In Bruges' has to be one of the best movies ever made and I challenge anyone to change my mind. For real though, I'm a big fan of thrillers, drama's sci-fi, some comedies and fantasy - it all depends on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I perform at open mic nights performing slam poetry, and this has been a big achievement for me because when I first started, I was incredibly nervous, but now I feel a lot more at home on the stage and the progression has been amazing to experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new skills, different meals and cooking techniques so it would be great to share that knowledge and learn with others.

I also really enjoy hearing other people's anecdotes and stories; the places they have been to, the difficult experiences they've overcome, the joy they have felt and the times the universe has left them with their jaw dropped at the utter absurdity of the moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking and interesting conversations, so I am more than happy to cook a meal, have a great bottle of wine and put the world to rights... Sound good?
