About Me
I'm Laila.
It's my seventh years of being a secondary school teacher in Taiwan. I teach STEM, something like programming and handmade stuff. These years, I taught Project Based Learning and cooperated with teachers major in different areas.
I was a Fulbrighter in FLTA Program, and being a Language Teaching Assistant of Mandarin Chinese at Michigan State University at 2019 to 2020.
I used to have a gap year, traveled to central and south America, also finished "Camino de Santiago" in 2016.
And then I went to Taitung, Taiwan to be a junior high school teacher. It's a remote aboriginal school. I taught them technology, math, and English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's the best way to connect with people, connect with locals. I love traveling, and I found that the most memorable experience during the trip is always about people.
The time we shared, the conversation we had, which can give me a deeper insight and connection with the person and the place.
