My name is Laima, I‘m a 21 year old student from Lithuania, a small country located right in the center of Europe.

Talking about my personality, I‘m outgoing and social. I like to meet new people, have great conversations with them and share stories and experience. So you can easily undertsand that meaningless talks bore me. But despite that I could say that I‘m a good listener and easy to talk to. I understand people and never judge them, that‘s why people feel comfortable while communicating with me. Actually, I‘m a bit of an introvert. Even though I don‘t feel stressed in a big city or an environment full of new people, sometimes I have a deep need to be alone and away from everything...

One thing that I can‘t live without? Traveling! As for myself, I‘m the kind of person who can give up everything, pack a suitcase and move away to the other side of the world. OK, I´m just kidding :) But all people around me could say that I want a sense of spontaneity in my life, a feeling that something new and fresh will happen every day. Traveling allows to feel that. It allows me to challenge myself, to feel wonder, to discover unknown and uncommon destinations... After all, ,,Life begins at the end of our comfort zone“. I definitely agree with those words.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Even though I‘m new here, I truly believe that couchsurfing is a much more useful and necessary network than facebook, twitter and other nonsense in which people involve. First, it shows how generous people are if they could open their own home to unfamiliar people, and let those people stay with them, not expecting any rewards. Second, couchsurfing is a unique opportunity to improve spoken skills of foreign languages, get used to the culture and make real friends :}
