ABOUT ME

I try to be happy in everything I do, with my family and friends, and in my free time. I'm very easy-going, I believe it is important to be strong (not just physically) and capable, and that there is value to having a certain amount of self-sufficiency, and being able to take care of yourself. I love being outdoors, and the places you can see and experience if you work for it. I get restless being in the same place for too long. For the past few years, climbing was a huge part of my life - All my trips revolved around it and I was training to be a guide, until a shoulder injury in the spring sidelined that plan. Now I am re-learning all about the other awesome experiences you can have when you don't think about climbing all the time... namely, travel and bikes!

i've spent many a night on a friends couch... not through this site though. yet.

I know a fair bit about living and playing outdoors, front country, backcountry, winter and summer. I climb both rock and ice, I ski, I camp, I hike, sail when I can, and I know about the gear needed and how to make it all happen.
By the end of this trip, I might just know something about bikes too...!
