About Me
Hello! My name is Laís, I’m a Brazilian girl who is currently living in NY. Last year I decided to depart to live the adventure that the world is!
I’m completely interested in learning new things, new cultures, people and place. I always get delighted with the diversity of traditions. I’m a really curious person who loves art (I'm an actress) and science (I really love Astronomy)! I would love to have friends from all around the world and I believe Couchsurfing is the best way to really get in contact with the local's culture and learn about it! I want to enjoy life as much as possible and I'm openminded to try new things!
I love animals
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is the best way to get to really know about the culture and traditions of the place, and I know most of the people who are here are super interesting! Besides that, nothing better than making new friends, learn about their experiences and listen to their stories!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
My taste in music is very eclectic, but I can't deny that one of my favorites styles are rock and indie. My favorite band is called The Pretty Reckless, I completely love them. I also really like Aurora, her songs relax me in a way that I can't explain!
But if it's for dancing, I like something more light, I love dancing!
MOVIES
Being an actress, I can't choose a favorite movie, I just love it! Each style has its own beauty! I really like suspense and drama, but a comedy is always good as well!
BOOKS
I loved reading Alice in wonderland! I also enjoy reading books about subjects I'm still not familiar with, so right now I'm reading "Rich father, Poor father", it's an amazing book about investing and about how our education system is obsolete!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In July/2019 I backpacked for 28 days through 8 countries by myself. It was one of the best experiences of my life, those memories will be carved in my heart forever! I could finally realize my dream to go to Egypt and do a Eurotrip, I made good friends that in fact, I still keep in contact with, and I saw stunning places. It was just such a rich experience!
Back in 2015, when I was starting acting, I worked in a movie production and it was really cool! I started my acting career by myself, going after the schools and paying for it, I can say I'm definitely proud of it!
Once I saved a Kitty from a manhole and I felt really happy about it!
Moving to the US was one of the most incredible things I've done, because I had to work a lot and put a lot of effort before moving.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could definitely teach anyone some Portuguese! Besides that, we have some delicious dishes in Brazil that are easy to be cooked and I'd be more than happy to share!
I'm always open to learn new things and I'd love to learn anything from my hosts!
