I'm currently doing a PhD in Classical languages and literature in Oxford, despite having studied Classics for 11 years I am a-little-less-than-a-Classicist and I would much rather be a series of things I lack the ability to be. I compensate for that through the remarkable ability of being always up for a pint.

Interests

I spend a lot of time thinking about the past and the future -- mostly over-thinking and gazing into possibilities; other people -- I love meeting new ones and talking to random strangers; language; the brain/mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

I preferably read non-fiction, because - unlike fiction - that tends to be way more engaging and makes me feel empty, sometimes stupid or ignorant, a few times just hooked, definitely not bored.
I like my Chesterton, Spillane and down-to-earth authors, but also my Banana Yoshimoto and INFPs overemotional things. Quite into biographies.
As regards movies I enjoy anything that's good really, with no regard to genres, from Kubrick to Nora Ephron, from Sokurov to Sam Mendes.
Music: I've liked a lot of things throughout the years, recently I listen to indie folk and classical music mostly.
