About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where....oh...wait a second....

ABOUT ME

Wow! I think that you could find out a lot about me by reading below. I am also very intense, intelligent, love to be a comic, and slowly but surely, continuing to stretch myself beyond conservative levels of comfort to explore a great big ol' world :) I do enjoy my quiet time, and this is weird, love having quiet time with someone else in the room....I know...strange indeed! I love to take photos, and I spend a lot of time in front of my easel drawing as well.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to work hard, and play hard. I do not think that regrets have a place in our lives. We only have one shot at it...if we screw up, learn from it and move on. We cannot change the past, so there is no point in worrying about it. All that is left is to enjoy the right now, and look forward to exploring the future :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know if this counts, but I hosted my first surfer awhile ago. We had a great time. I just wish that I had more time to spend doing stuff (as I was working during the visit). Also, I have gone out on a couple of CS get togethers in Seoul and met some awesome people. I am hoping to do some surfing of my own in 2007 :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hmmm...I stayed on my cousin's couch for a month while I waited for a guy to make up his mind about having me do a job for him. I have travelled a bit, stayed on cots and in camps... but never really couch-surfed too much.

Yay! I have more to add. I have now spent time surfing in Taiwan (and had a wonderful experience with 2 couchsurfers there), and am now surfing in Japan for a week. The experience is fantastic as you get to see more than just the tourist traps, experiencing genuine local hospitality :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, Brokedown Palace, Shawshank Redemption, Chronicles of Narnia, pretty much any music (aside from rap and death metal)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the pleasure of having been to Africa 3 times now. I think that the best experience was a "river safari" that I got to take. We were basically right on top of hippos, crocs and water buffalos in this motorboat!!! Being somewhat hydro-phobic, getting me IN the boat is a miracle in itself!!! lol

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning from enthusiastic people with some real world experience. I love seeing photos and hearing about history, art and culture....and a built-in "tour guide" would never be turned away ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Estonia, Japan, Malawi, Malaysia, North Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
