ABOUT ME

I'm interested in everything... I've taken a varied and non-linear career and life path and it's taken me to some unlikely and amazing places; Arctic work camps, central american jungles, Sierra Leonean diamond pits, sailing crew in the Caribbean...

I've been very fortunate in my life and am grateful to all the lovely people who've shown me love, shared joy, and imparted wisdom.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Lightly..I have been super fortunate to have been hosted by some excellent people, and look forward to a time when I might be able to host folks myself! Have also gone to some group events around Oslo and had a great time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unofficially couch surfed and hosted for years...have been trying the official way for a bit!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few stand-outs:

Hot pink, lime and white northern lights in the arctic, crackling, swirling, and raining down in -50 degrees C.

Flying along a slim steel wire above the canopy of central american jungle, the valley bottom a blur far below.

40 white horses being marched through a foggy london street at 4am

Sailing 3000 miles through the Caribbean in a small boat with friends and a sweet island-mutt.

Working with hot air balloons and taking my mom up for her birthday.

Being part of global civil society in action at the World Social Forum, G8, and other such actions...

Helping people change an african landscape from mined-out mountains of useless land to fertile organic community farms through raw work and a few simple tools.

Scanning the soul-stirring, breathtaking views from mountain tops in Canada and Norway.

Snorkelling the epic reefs of the Red Sea.
