About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep on walking and evolving, and to feel part of the community.

ABOUT ME

I can't possibly tell all about me in such a short space! Besides, I obviously don't know all about myself. We are all biased; we would need all points of view to reach a consented truth. So I invite you to read the comments and meet me.

PHILOSOPHY

The worst case scenario is usually our greatest opportunity for improvement. Be wise and appreciate it as a gift, try to understand what needs to be changed in you.

The biggest achievement in life is being able to let go in order to welcome new things.

We learn every day; and if we don't assimilate what we have learned, it will come back tomorrow, until we finally do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so good!

Interests

Art (any kind, really, from architecture to literature), dancing, nature and ecology, nutrition and good health, house decoration and crafty stuff. I also love a good talk (serious or silly), learning new facts and improving my knowledge of languages.

Since I like to question things I can also have a great time reading or talking about philosophy, psychology or even anthropology. On a spiritual level I enjoy practicing yoga, dancing, and meditating now and then.

Music, Movies, and Books

Poetry, novels, plays, short stories, essays... anything, really, as long as it "touches" me and make my perception change in some way. This obviously applies to other forms of art but also to other, let's say, transcendental experiences (and I hope these words aren't too loaded) that sometimes I feel when being alone and in contact with nature, or when I'm surrounded with people.

Some authors I've mostly enjoyed lately, for one reason or another: H. Hesse, A. Nothomb, H. Murakami, Shakespeare, H. Pinter, M. Kundera, S. Oksanen, M. Unamuno, C. Riera, G. Belli, K. Uribe, P. Salinas, J.T.R. Tolkien...

I've been watching more films lately (I used to not like sitting and being attentive for a long time), and the most recent one I've enjoyed is Still the Water, by Naomi Kawase.

About music: I'm not an expert but I like variety, that's why I like to turn the radio on and also be surprised by Spotify lists. Depending on my mood and activity I enjoy different styles: from jazz to classical music, and from rock to more pop style music, country/folk or electronic. My eclecticism becomes a problem when I have to list my preferences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Easy: to trust in life much more than I used to, and this is amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: anything about my culture or language/s, anf really anything I happen to know a bit of.
Learn: I'm very open about this, as long as I'm having fun learning!
Share: a good time.
