About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figuring out the meaning of life... And getting in as much traveling as possible while doing so.

ABOUT ME

I'm interested in exploring the world around me and meeting new and interesting people. I've got plans to visit as much of the U.S. as possible, as well as Europe and Asia, within the next few years. I work remotely, which makes traveling a lot easier. If you have any stories from your travels, I'd love to hear them.

I love to bake! Cupcakes are one of my favorite things to bake, and I really enjoy getting creative with the decorating. I made cheeseburger cupcakes this summer, and I'm starting my fall and Halloween baking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got a couch; I'm happy to host. I'm also going to be traveling around the US and internationally, and I'm hoping to meet some great people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few couch surfers in the past, and it's been a pretty great experience so far. I'm looking forward to meeting new surfers, and also new hosts, as I continue my travels.

Interests

I like to create things -- mainly crafts. I also enjoy cooking and baking. In the winter, the smell of cookies and cakes is always wafting through my house. I am always moving, and I love going for walks, hikes, swims, and bike rides. I'd be happy to show travelers the local trails. The Capital Trail (runs from Jamestown to Richmond) is nearby, as are some great walking and hiking trails. I also enjoy reading and writing, but I don't get the chance to do those as often as I'd like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmmm...
Movies: Comedies, anything from the 80s/early 90s. My best friend likes to describe my taste in movies as "complete garbage." Lol
Music: My taste in music varies based on the situation, the day, the weather, my mood, etc. I'm more of a song person. I don't really have a favorite artist or band. I just listen to whatever strikes my fancy at the moment.
Books: I'm reading a few series right now. Apparently, I've found a way to incorporate my ADHD into my reading habits. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not really sure if I've ever done anything truly noteworthy. I'd like to think that at some point, I have affected someone in a profound manner -- even if in a seemingly insignificant way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak basic Thai, and I can teach almost anyone how to phonetically pronounce the basics of the language.

I also have a ridiculous amount of random tidbits and factoids milling around in my brain. In other words, trivia is my jam.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Delicious baked goods. And really corny jokes.
