CURRENT MISSION
To spread music & joy
ABOUT ME
I love to laugh and to sing - especially together with people who share my enthusiasm for music. Making music together means exchanging inspiration. I'm a joyfull, cheerful and curious person who wants to see the world over the rim of her teacup.
I'm interested in foreign cultures, customs and languages, but the essence of travelling for me is getting to know other people with their opinions and ways of living and to inhale the atmosphere of different countries.
I study music therapy, and for me it's absolutely fascinating to discover more and more of the beauty, the importance and the emotional power of music. For me, music therapy isn't only a study, but a way of living.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to enjoy the beauty of single moments. I take things the way the are and make the best out of it. I have a positive view on the future - just wait and see, everything will be alright. I agree with the Monty Pythons: Always look on the bright side of life *whistle*. But that doesn't mean, that life always has to be "happy" and "sunshiny". I don't think, that there are "good" and "bad" emotions: every emotion (also sadness, anger and so on) belongs to life and is therefore important and precious.
When I travel, I don't like to make too many plans - the most amazing things will happen, when you just go where the wind takes you :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's always a pleasure for me to host and get to know travelling people (even when they come from the same country) and to exchange thoughts and experiences. So I would gladly try to show the spirit of Vienna to some curious travellers :).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I made some couchsurfing experiences in Italy (Fara in Sabina, Rome, Trastevere ;), Signa, Florence and Bologna) and in Germany (Berlin and Hamburg). I think it is the best way of travelling, because you can only get an impression of the character of a country, when you spend time with local people. I met really interesting and lovely people and made amazing experiences through couchsurfing.
I also love to host people in Vienna. I always like to spend time with people who travel to Vienna, because it makes me see the city through different eyes and to appreciate the beauty of the city ever and anon. And I think that travellers always have a particular mood and energy, that often electrifies me.
Interests
Apparently I'm totally obsessed with music. Particularly home-made music: I love to sing, play guitar & piano and try to play new instruments. I also enjoy to go to concerts or music-festivals or just listening to music with friends/at home/in the tram and so on.
I love to be outside - actually in any wind and weather but especially when the sun is out. I like to stroll through the city and different places and also to be at the countryside and in the mountains. I love waters: rivers, lakes and of course the sea, which is unfortunately so far from here! For me nature is always fascinating and it keeps me balanced.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general I like music, that sounds "home-made", where you can hear out the different instruments. And music that awakes specific emotions. I like rock music throgh all periods and I often listen to singer-songwriters - newly also Italian cantautori (f.e. Lucio Battisti) and french chansons (f.e. from Edith Piaf). I really like piano music, especially from Chopin, Schubert, Debussy, Erik Satie and Yann Tiersen. Newly I have a liking for opera music, especially Mozarts operas (Die Zauberflöte!!!). My favourite Austrian singer at the moment is Hubert von Goisern. I also like traditional "Wiener-Lieder". Furthermore I try to be opened to all kinds of music: I like it, when people show me music that moves them and inspire me to listen to kinds of music I'm not too familiar with. So I also like to go to concerts of bands and music styles that are unfamiliar to me to expand my musical horizon. Some selected musicians that I always love to listen and that never bored me over periods: Eels, Bright Eyes, Hubert von Goisern, Amy Winehouse, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Glen Hansard, Beatles (& George Harrisons solo albums), Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash.
My absolute favoutite movie is "Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain" and at the moment I love films from Woody Allen and recently I discovered Wes Anderson. I also like Monty Python movies (british humor in general) and some selected Austrian movies (Austrian humor can be great too).
Currently I enjoy reading biographies of musicians. Mostly I read books, that are somehow connected to my studies, for example about therapy, psychology, music and arts. Sometimes I like to read childrens books :).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life itself. It's impossible to pick out just one amazing thing. There were countless beautiful moments -mostly they are connected with nice people and music... or outdoor-adventures. Yes, I think, this is my recipe for unforgettable and amazing moments: amiable people & music under the open sky.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would be a pleasure for me to share and exchange musical skills and language skills. By making music together, you can learn so much from each other and get new inspirations and ideas.
I also would like to learn at least some words in every kinds of languages. And at the moment I'm especially interested in Italian language.
I'm also glad, when people tell me something about their own passion, I love it to listen to people when they talk about something, that is really important to them.
