About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving into our new place :)

ABOUT ME

Friendly, open-minded, love to talk with all kinds of people!
Latest trip: India and Nepal in September and October and planning on a trip to Thailand and Laos in the summer to explore more of Asia.
Love to meet new people! I know it's a cliche, but cliches tend to be true. I get a lot of good energy from travelling, people, having a good time/talk and hope to be able to give that kind of energy also.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people when I can and always try to meet up and/or stay with other CS'ers in other countries. Will always try to tell/show surfers something typical Dutch or 'Nijmeegs'. Also I tell a lot of people about CS, hoping even more will join.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled a lot and stayed on couches before I was aware of CS :).
Met quite some people since I became a member of CS, hosted a dozen, been hosted by a few and hope to extend this in every part of the world :).
Only positive experiences so far.

Interests

Culture, people, literature, poetry, music. I like all kinds of things; enjoy going out in the nature just as much as going into town with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a lot that can touch me. Music: pop, rock, indie, but also salsa and reggaeton.
Books: I read a lot, currently very much into Haruki Murakami, Paul Auster and A.M. Homes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One year of teaching and travelling in South-America (one of the best years of my life)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been around and I learned that one of the most important things is to keep an open mind. I like to learn a lot from people with all kinds of perspectives and like to share my perspective also.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Italy, Nepal, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Saint Lucia, Spain, Sweden, United States, Uruguay
