Finish my master course about cinema and travelling, travelling a lot.

ABOUT ME

I love travel and meet new people, this is why I have a profile here. I lived for one year in Europe between 2013-2014, 9 months in Dublin, Ireland, and 3 months travelling around the continent as a backpacker. Now, I'm back to Brazil to do my master course about media studies, with my project about brazilian cinema, just waiting a good time to travel again. Other part of me loves cooking and is tiny bit good in the kitchen.

Mi loĝis en Eŭropo dum unu jaro, dum 9 monatoj en Dublin kaj aliaj 3 monatoj mi vojaĝis tra la kontinento kun mia dorsosako. Nuntempe mi revenis al Brazilo por studi majstra kurso pri brazila kinarto, kaj atendas bonan tempon por vojaĝi denove.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here since 2011, a short-long time, it was an indication of friend from Belgium, so, at this time I met many people by Cousurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted people many people from Belgium, Poland, Colombia, Brazil, France and Italy in my simple house and I had nice meetings with surfers in Europe, some of them I hosted here before go there, a real cultural interchange promoted by CS.

Interests

Know places, people and their histories. I try to learn languages, read books and watch movies. Sometimes I prefer hear good histories than just go to touristic places when I go to new country or city, for me is more a great way to meet new cultures by people who lives them. I like spend a time talking drinking coffee or tea and cook is a lovely thing for me, sometimes I'm good, sometimes not, but I love recipes with potatoes and I know how to make some middle eastern foods :3

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, any kind of music. Music is the most powerful thing in Brazilian culture, we have great musicians, we have samba, forró, bossa nova, carimbó, our culture has african, european and indigenous influences. But I love too electronic, classical and rock: Kraftwerk, Beethoven and Pixies are alaways in my heart and playlist.

About books, of course histories about travelling are such great, Jack Kerouac is not only an influence for reading but for life, with him I've learned how good is travel. I like too brazilian writers Machado de Assis and Clarice Lispector.

I cried a lot with Cinema Paradiso (Titanic too) and I watched Pulp Fiction trying to do the history as a puzzle (without success).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a backpacking around Europe alone, I don't know if it's incredible, but is a empowerment for a girl :). At this time I worked as a volunteer in Roskilde Festival in Denmark and in arabic restaurant in Dublin, the single girl in a kitchen with 4 or 5 men speaking arabic all the time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a good house with my family, we're really a big family: me, my parents, my sister, 2 brothers and 2 cats, but is always enough space for everybody here. My house is far alway of city centre because the traffic is intense.
