Hello! My name is Laman Safarli, I am 24 years old and was born and lived in Baku, Azerbaijan. I currently live in Heidelberg Germany.

I studied Journalism at Baku State University and worked with different media companies, as well as news sites during my studies. I moved to Germany as an AU Pair in 2017, and going to study at University of Heidelberg from April 2018.

Finding an accommodation is an important part of traveling. Staying in hotels or hostels may be comfortable on the hand, but actually I love meeting and getting to know locals, chatting with them, explore their culture, exchange ideas and learn their language. I think the best way to feel the vibes of the place you travel is spending time with locals.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

As an animal lover I think most of the amazing things I have done so far are related to stray animals. In our country there is no official care for stray animals, and people are not treating them well. Stray cats and dogs are growing numerous day by day, therefore it gets harder to take care of them. But at least I tried my best, I took care of the stray cats and dogs the place I lived and worked, provided daily food for them, took them to the vet whenever needed, and helped them to be adopted. Also I volunteered in different animal shelters to help more animals get adopted, and raise awareness on stray animals and the care they need from us among the people in our country.

I can teach the languages I know to hosts if they are willing to learn, and I welcome the idea of learning their language as well. Moreover I would like to share my thoughts and experiences with the people I meet, and hear their stories.
