About Me

We are two siblings from Colombia who really enjoy meeting people from different cultures. For several years, we have welcomed travelers to our country and shared wonderful experiences with people from all over the world.

My name is María Paula and my brother is Adalber Zamir. We grew up with the idea that traveling also means creating human connections and learning about other cultures.

Adalber is currently in Poland, and we hope that the Couchsurfing community will continue to be a bridge for meeting friendly people, sharing stories, and helping each other as travelers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are siblings from Colombia who truly enjoy meeting people from different cultures. Through Couchsurfing we have had the opportunity to host travelers in our country and share meaningful experiences, conversations, and cultural exchange.

I’m María Paula and my brother is Adalber Zamir. These experiences have taught us how valuable trust, kindness, and openness are when connecting with people from around the world.

Now Adalber is in Poland, and we hope to continue being part of the Couchsurfing community—meeting new people, sharing stories, learning about different cultures, and helping each other as travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

We enjoy different kinds of music, especially Latin music, pop, and acoustic songs. Music is a great way to connect with people from different cultures.

We like movies based on real stories, inspiring films, and sometimes a good comedy. One movie and book we really like is The Fault in Our Stars because of its emotional story.

We also enjoy discovering new music, movies, and books from the people we meet while traveling, so we always appreciate recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something incredible and a little crazy that I've done is join two wonderful girls from CS on their adventure. They invited me to share part of their journey and adventure with them, and I said, “Why not?” As long as I have the time, the willingness, and some money, I'll take the risk of sharing part of their adventure with you, if possible, of course.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are eager and willing to showcase Colombian culture. We want to share music, local food, stories, etc. I also believe that CS is a good way to reinforce, learn, and practice a foreign language and culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are willing to create a pleasant atmosphere with my family and friends, if applicable, with our future hosts. We are humble and open-minded people. In addition, we can help out in the kitchen (we like to cook)... We are not complicated and can adapt to any plan. It is important for us to create balance and leave a mark, a good memory.
