In the past years, I´ve learned to look at the world, and myself, from several perspectives and I´ve acquired the power to reinvent myself every day, recognizing the ability that we all have, at every moment, to be what we want to be.

I´m from Colombia, a country affected by violence in which women have been inbisivilized, abused, displaced, disappeared and murdered. Efforts have been carried out to guarantee our rights but there is still have gaps and challenges. As a colombian woman I can´t be alien to this problem. Therefore, I want to study and fulfill an active role in the social transformation of my country.

My life makes sense when I share it. I believe in people, I look at the eyes, I listen carefully and I speak with sincerity. I´m very alert because life doesn´t stop to surprise me. I´m disciplined and detained, sensitive to others and strong against injustice. Sometimes brave, sometimes prudent, but especially generous with what is required at every moment

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m ready to start a journey that, in principle, is planned from the need to speak English fluently in order to be granted with a scholarship for a Master in Equality Policies and Gender Studies that I want to study next year. However, I know that this experience will be touched by places, people and situations that besides of enriching it, will change my life and the idea that I have of myself.
