About Me

UPDATE: I am coming out of CouchSurfing retirement.
Couch available.

CURRENT MISSION

To see just how small this world is.

ABOUT ME

I am an oldest child and I grew up on a farm. I can tell you more than you could ever imagine about growing corn and soybeans and wheat.
I started a computer company in 2003 and was quite successful.
In 2008 I moved to Sioux Falls, SD and started a new company doing freelance IT contracting for big companies that have locations around the Sioux Falls area, and it's going good. I love being free to do what ever I want.

PHILOSOPHY

Twenty years from now, you're more likely to regret the things you didn't do than the things you did. Bad decisions make good stories.

Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss.

Travel often, getting lost will help you find yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 156 people (and 2 cats and 2 dogs) from all over the world. I have surfed couches in Canada, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, France, Spain, and the USA.

You may notice that many of my references mention Pamela. She was my girlfriend many years ago. We hosted many Surfers together during those years. But. Pam and I are no longer together, we had different life goals. We are still friends though.

Interests

Technology of any type.
I'm also interested in trying new foods.

  • dogs

  • freelancing

Music, Movies, and Books

I like facts and history so I'm going to say Encyclopedia or WIKI and I want to say that I think we are living in an exciting time, where knowledge has never been more accessible. I can learn anything I want.

I like about 80% of all music. But I will listen to anything at least once. I gravitate towards new sounds though. I especially like hearing talented people play creative covers of my favorite songs. Someday I would like to go on a long trip and make a video of many different live musicians playing their renditions of the same song. When I head out for entertainment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a woodchuck chuck wood once... I think... hmm.

visited 48 states and D.C. (97%)

visited 5 Canadian Provinces (38.4%)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach english. I want to learn German and Russian.

Is your computer broke? Maybe I can help.
