About Me

/!\ UPDATE :
Currently traveling in South America for 6 months 🇵🇪🇧🇴🇨🇱🇦🇷🇧🇷

My family is Vietnamese but left Vietnam a long time ago to settle down in France.
I was born in France and started to explore the world during my studies. After that, I decided to try London for work and it has been three years that I have been living there.

Since my first experiences abroad, I became a traveler addict and I started to develop the idea of doing a longer trip.
One of my deepest wishes was to explore South America. I decided to quit my job and do a backpacking trip for 6+ months so that I can discover the beautiful landscapes of South America while meeting great people along the way. Travel and meet people at the same time are something that make me feel fulfilled. The experience itself can be so rich and intense every day that I cannot stop thinking of my future trips (probably Asia?).
I really want to learn from others, about their country, their culture, develop potential new friendships and I think Couchsurfing is full of opportunities to meet interesting travelers and local people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I had a great experience with people met via Couchsurfing (either to meet to have drinks, sightseeing together or being hosted) , I would like to meet travelers from all over the world and show them my city.

Also as a traveller, I am looking forward to meet people and share experience and time together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered CouchSurfing thanks to a friend back to 2009. We went on a trip from Montreal to the United States. We travelled from Miami, Orlando, Washington DC to New York, and we found CouchSurfing very interesting to try. Thanks to this trip I met a lot of travelers from all around the world and had a great experience with locals. I think the best thing to explore a country or a city is to know local people, they are the best to show you in an authentic way the places to go.
Since then, I met people through Couchsurfing for either meet for a coffee or visit a city together. I have also been hosted in London when I was looking for a job there back in 2016 and since then we became good friends. This opens so many opportunities to meet people, learn about their culture, their country that I really enjoy getting to experience it again during my backpacking trip in South America.

Interests

Exploring new places, share experiences, meet and learn from locals, including their culture and traditions, practice my Spanish, explore different ways of traveling (couchsurfing, backpacking, hostels, hitchhiking, van trip...) meet travelers and locals on the way, stargazing, daydreaming, go to concerts, eat and cook hearty home made meals, try to do small DIY (furniture and decorations), trekking, discover beautiful landscapes and be in awe with nature wonders as much as possible...
