ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Lana and my husband's Fyodor. I'm school teacher of literature, he plays the guitar.
We love travelling, meeting new people. It's good way to understand the meaning of life - conversation with people on your road. In substance life is a road.
We belive in such ideas like "love is all around", "pay forward", "capre diem"...
Our aim is happy happy family. Ballance between freedom and responsibilities of all family members. Travel. Tea in the garden. Trust. To live in harmony with nature. Be useful to other people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before CS we also hosted people and stay at different people during our journey. But all of them were from Russia and have recommendations from our friends. When we know about CS we open the world! Every person is a universe. When we are looking a host it's alwais a very long process becouse I like reading of profiles (all details). CS is a unic chance to meet a lot of interesting people. So we are ready to host and show you our city! And we hope to meet friends during surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted a couple from England and it was an amasing life experience. CS is the greatest thing!
And then we were hosted by different people in Denmark, Germany and Italy. And every of them is a little universe!

Interests

Fyodor is a classical guitarist, but some years ago he played in folk group and now he is learning flamenko. We also love ethnic music, metal, rock and roll. He loves the mountains and hills, the Scandinavian countries, open-air festivals, hiking, meeting new people. I love the old town, which feels the breath of time, lighthouses and gardens. Ride a bike. And I'm interested in people - communicating with new people makes me wiser.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time when I see the Sea. It is named White Sea, but the colore was changing during the day: pearl, milk, silver, steel, deeply blue.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you felting: how to make toys, beads, flowers from wool, and also how to weave a simple bangle from silk threads. Also I can tell you about Russian literature, culture or language. If you have guitar Fyodor can give basic tutorial on classical guitar or play for you (we don't take a guitar to long journey). If you're a musician, he will be happy to make a music with you. Also we can share our travel experience, tell about hitch-hiking.
