Overview
About Me
I grew up in Vietnam for 18 years, moved to Pennsylvania for college, and now about to start a new chapter in Seattle area as a software engineer. I’m passionate about discovering new things and meeting new people. To me, everybody has a thing I can learn from and I appreciate listening and sharing what I have (sometimes I’m a bit too opinionated, but working on that :)). My current goals are learning more languages (Chinese, Spanish and constantly brush up on French cuz there’re too many damn things to remember), become a better runner, teaching myself new technologies, and making meaningful connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste influenced quite lots by my parents’ playing the radio to wake me up when I was small: Billy Joel, Scorpions, Beatles, BSB, Westlife, Celine Dion, but now also Gorillaz and Ghibli music.
I don’t have Netflix, but that makes binge watching Black mirror an incredible experience— would love to do that anytime offered.
Book-wise: Into Thin Air, Born a Crime, Homo Sapiens, The Godfather, Tuesdays with Morrie and currently, Educated are among my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During a week of spring break sophomore year, me and my friends traveled to 5 cities in Japan and saved a lot by sleeping on overnight buses. On a incredible day, we accidentally went from Kyoto to Nara for deer watching, went back to Kyoto for Fushimi Inari, are an awesome okonomiyaki dinner, went to an onsen (where I fainted in a hot spring— that came with free snacks from the host for all of the crews after) and ran to catch our bus to Tokyo that night
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach cooking Vietnamese dishes, how to cure hiccups in less than 2 mins, and how to jay walk in Hanoi with confidence.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and sharing stories over a good meal. Always up for a walk or hike, and occasionally I’d love to come up with ridiculous and hopefully harmless startup ideas.
