ABOUT ME

I just moved to California after doing the grad school thing down in Texas for a few years. In my free time I love to meet new people, travel (of course), and have new experiences - I'm usually up for anything I've never tried before.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life the way you want to now, instead of getting stuck in "one day" mode. It's important to me to enjoy the things I'm doing, and to feel like my life is meaningful and not just a means to an end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had a chance to surf too much yet, but the experience I've had so far has been very positive! I'm hoping to extend my CouchSurfing days outside of the US one day.

Interests

I love art, music, theater, animals (especially horseback riding), spending time outside, cooking, traveling, and reading. I hope to learn at least one other language fluently (so far, my closest is Italian), and learn to play an instrument one day. We'll see how it goes...

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite book is definitely The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Too many close seconds to count; I think my favorite genre is memoirs. I love weird movies and foreign films, although I also think there's a space for a good romcom every now an then. Music really depends on my mood - and I love going to shows, whether I know the band or not. It's a great way to find new music and meet new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My dad and I took the giant swing at Glenwood Caverns in Colorado - it's a giant swing that goes out over a canyon, and was one of the scariest and most exciting things that I've done. Not to mention the amazing view. :)
