I've finally broken out of the suburban life, and living the life I've always wanted!
The last few years I've gained so many wonderful friends, and built such a foundation for myself that it's time to explore the world.

I was previously married and consumed with helping my wife with her martial arts business. I learned Enshin Karate from her, and eventually taught classes. I'm now a 2nd degree black belt, though I no longer practice. My ex-wife and I respectfully went our separate ways, and I felt that I had learned all I wanted to from martial arts. I had always been interested in meditation and energy work, and am starting to get much more serious about it.

So, now that I have some free time and money, I am now very excited to explore the world and broaden my horizons! I expect to visit 1 new country every year!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I could just be a tourist and visit tourist things in each country, that's not what interests me as much as actually interacting with other people and cultures. I want to know how you live, what you think, and how you're different than me, so I can reflect on myself :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite book is Energy Anatomy by Carolyn Myss. It gives an amazingly thorough and practical run through the chakras.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I designed the faun/satyr costume in my photos. It has brought so many people so much happiness. I loved wearing it at festivals and seeing people's faces light up when they saw me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I may be able to teach a bit of my meditation techniques.
If you like, I can do an energy reading and tell you my impressions of blocks.
I can recommend some good hikes around the Portland area.
