About Me

Just moved to Berkeley for six months for an exchange during my doctorate. I study, play music, ride motorcycles, work on little projects in between the rest of life and have started to do some travelling. What little travelling I've done makes me want to do all the more - so far just been around the States a bit, but plenty more to follow.

I'm interested in being interested.
I love to love.
I dig ... digging?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's pretty exy here at Berkeley and I want to meet some folks from another land.

Interests

Music is my first love, listening and playing. I dabble in a bunch of genres and instruments. Bass player primarily but I do various percussion, strings and trying my hand at wind.

Motorcycles: started riding last year and I dig it something fierce. Hopefully in the next month or two I can pick up a cheap bike a cruise around the states some.

I like making stuff. Everything from tech stuff to tunes to the timelessness of memories in minds of others. I like alliteration too.

I'm pretty interested in learning about other people are like, how they operate and why they like doing what they do. Perspective is a helluva thing.

Generally up for trying a bit of anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

I reckon music from the 90's is where it's at - I can always tune back into some of the hard rock from then, no matter the mood.

Three favorite movies are probably Blade Runner, Aliens and The Fifth Element. The sublime noir, the classic badass and the unashamedly gratuitious.

Favourite book is Neuromancer, a seminal novel of the cyberpunk genre. That book was the starting point for my studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tough call to make - amazing is a hardcore word. Got out of a hedge maze once, so there's that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always up for jamming with folks and I love learning about what other people do and why they do what they do. I like sharing that stuff about me too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ain't got much but some good ol' fashioned company. Good company. For sure.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, United States
