Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I only recently discovered my passion for travel 2 years ago, and realized travel is an expensive hobby. As a regular who stays at hostels I've enjoyed meeting people who share a passion to travel. Couchsurfing provides a priceless opportunity to join a group on people who share not only a common interest, but allows you access to a host who can give very valuable insight on the best places to visit during you stay. The hospitality aspect is priceless and in exchange makes you want to pay it forward for another individual when they are in your city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived the New York City Blizzard of 2016, my flight was cancelled and hotel was full where I had reservation so I walked in white out conditions 4 hours until I was able to secure a place to stay. I'm from TX where the temperatures are HOT, so from one polar opposite to the other this was an interesting adventure. Best part was I met a group of people from Singapore while walking around city.
