About Me

UPDATE: About to move to Italy soon, so not accepting guests in this period.

••••••••••••••••••••••••

I'm a 22-year-old Chinese girl in the 5th year in Guangzhou as I also graduated here with the bachelor in international journalism. Will move to Italy this year doing my Master there.

Based on my friends' comments I guess I'm a wild girl in general. Adventurous, energetic, cordial, open-minded, always confident and you may see the a-bit-too-crazy me if we get along well lol. I will probably be "shy" only in front of people who I dislike haha. I know it doesn’t show in my pics (cuz I always try to play cool when being shot hahah) but I do smile and laugh a looot in life and I’m pretty easygoing, though I gotta warn you that I could be a bit sarcastic sometimes, but definitely without any viciousness and some people they call it wit ;) But if u don't feel good about it pls just shooout it out to me and my self-control is also pretty good ;))))

I can get along with almost everyone but probably not the too serious type. It's part of my nature to joke all the time. Sometimes I joke too much that my friends said they never know what I say is true or only a joke 😂 (But no need to worry too much about that given joking is much more difficult in a second language lol) Anyway I would prefer to rub along with my Couchsurfers in a old-friends way which means we could punch on each other's shoulder and make jokes of each other, with the respect in mind of course ;))))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a guest - "local," "friend," "culture," - three words I bet u've probably met in this part in everyone's profile. They are cliché, but still true. To conclude with other's words:

After several hundreds of thousands of kilometers travelled, I'd rather say :
It doesn't matter where you go,
it doesn't matter where you stop,
it is simply about who you meet.

As a host, I have what u need, so I share. Simple. And there's a bonus that it's quite funny seeing my neighbor's face everytime when they see I bring a different boy/girl coming home LOL.

Interests

•• Music festival and Live shows. So if you and I both have free time during your/my stay, we could probably go to some music gigs together ;)

•• Traveling. Strongly fascinated by splendid nature scenery, adventurous experience and, personally, the best feeling in the world which is endowed by traveling - U don't know what u r gonna do, who u r gonna meet, and sometimes even where u r gonna go. Everything is unknown. Mostly I travel alone, but I know I ll never be really alone during it cuz those amazing people on the road ;)

•• Sports. Both outdoor and indoor. I work out, swim and boxing. But no, I dislike jogging, at all. For outdoors I do scuba diving, surfing, mountain trekking, skiing... I consider myself as an adrenaline junky.

•• Photography. The first time I realized that photography can be used not only to capture moments of happiness, but also to share, and even to be part of happiness itself, I fell in love with it. I was 19. As time goes by, my understanding of photography keeps changing, but I always remember how I felt at that time.

•• If possible, I usually visit at least one university of every city I travel to. Observe students there and try the canteen. Kind of an eccentric hobby I guess.

• Sexy brain and Spontaneous soul.
• Coincidental reunion.
• Cute boys and cool girls.
• Cuddles and hugs.
• Peace.
• Laughing to tears.

• Getting lost by foot or random bus in big cities (due to my unbelievably terrible sense of direction this one has honorably upgraded from only one of my hobbies to something that I cannot help letting it happen in every single city I've traveled to. Congrats to it!)

• Sweet food (definitely XD).
• Milk product (definitely again XD).

• Dancing alone and been crazy at home with music loudly on (seriously if the music is right sometimes I can do that alone for the whole night LOL)

• Languages.
• Board game.
• Good tattoo.
• Suspense movie and thrillers.
• Interior design (especially industrial style)
• Summer and winter.
• Sunshine and snow.
• Mountain, sea, and desert.

Music, Movies, and Books

••• Music:
I LOVE music but I HATE being asked this question. Who can tell me how on earth to distinguish these music genres??? So just some names. The Raveonettes, The XX, Lana Del Rey, Placebo, Sonic Youth, The Royal Concept, DIIV, Tom Odell, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, the Killers, Iron and Wine, P!nk, I am waiting for you last summer...

••• Movie:
- The Japanese cartoon movies from Hayao Miyazaki, like “Spirited Away”, "Tonari no Totoro", "The Cat Returns" n so on.
- Suspense film and thriller really get me the most. I looove those complicated, unexpected and intricate plots. Like "Coherence", "Triangle", "Confessions", "In the House\Dans la maison", "Perfect Strangers\Perfetti Sconosciuti", "Mr. Nobody", "Gone girl", “Eden Lake”, "Traces of sin"...
- Also in fond of lots of others, including "Black Mirror", "Dogville", "the Truman Show", "3 Idiots".

••• Book:
I'm interested in books about psychology n human nature and of course also a great story book. Tbh I'm not a big reader but trying to read more recently. The one I'm reading now is Italo Calvino's "If on a Winter's Night, a Traveler".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had my first independent travel when I was only 14 years old; I climbed to the summit of the African - Kilimanjaro (5800m); I took the longest railway in the world - the Trans-Siberian Train - and magically made so many friends in that 7 days on the train though I was the one of only two English-speakers there; I asked kisses from strangers on the street; I bungee jumped; I skydived; I did a 10-day trekking totally alone in the Himalaya (5600m); I love; I forgive; I miraculously know nothing about any music instrument and I dare to say that all of you cannot compete with me when it comes to the worst singer in the world; I'm talented at mathematic; I'm a professional liar and I'm using this amazing app.

I lied about one of the above ;))))
I do have some amazing stories to tell, but I would prefer to tell you them face to face :))))))

What I Can Share with Hosts

•• My views and experiences;
•• Music, Movie and Photos;
•• Anything about China I know, including the language of course;
•• Traditional Chinese dishes, I do wish I could say this but sorry I'm just horrible in cooking lol. But at least I could bring u to some decent restaurants ;)
•• Some simple magics;
•• Great chatting friend, wonderful listener, n not that bad drinking partner (you should be skeptical at least for the last one, my capacity for liquor still in great need of improvement LOL).
•• Fun and Friendship ;)))))) (No doubt for this!!)
